I absolutely love practicing orthodontics. I never realized how much I enjoy helping people until I started my practice. It is amazing to see a shy child transform into a confident, smiling teen. I know how they feel. When I was a child, I had severely protruded “bucked” teeth. I was frequently teased, resulting in poor self-esteem. For me, having orthodontic treatment not only lifted my self-esteem, it literally changed my whole outlook on life. I am truly a blessed person to have discovered the profession of orthodontics.
Education
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine. I went to the University of California, San Francisco for my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. I also achieved a Master of Science degree at Baylor College of Dentistry in the Texas A & M University System and my research project on early treatment was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics.
The field of orthodontics is constantly changing, and I believe that my patients deserve the newest, most effective care. I am actively involved in continuing education, often attending conferences and lectures in order to be up-to-date with new products, treatments, and techniques that may benefit my patients.
My Staff
I have the greatest team who shares my passion for helping our patients with their smiles. My assistants are genuinely excited when they see a patient who looks dramatically better or even just displays an improvement in oral hygiene.
Life Outside the Office
I have been in Flower Mound since 1998 so I have witnessed the area really grow up, as well as my two daughters Madeline and Ava! In my free time, I enjoy golf, hockey, poker, yoga, traveling, and fine wine.
